Comments provided by Rev. Steve Washburn upon learning of Gerry's passing:

I have fond memories of him.

Like me, Gerry had allergies. Unlike me, his allergy medications sometimes made him drowsy and Junior High Math teacher Katherine H. Baker used to watch him like a hawk re this.

From Junior through Senior High Gerry and I used to play chess regularly, usually at his house.. Sometimes we’d enrich the game by requiring that before taking our next turn, we had to tell a pun on what the other had just said.

I shall always think of Gerry as quiet, friendly, gently humorous and as a loyal friend.

May he rest is peace and may his family find comfort in good memories.

Hello Class,

I can't say that much has changed for me these past four years. But we're all four years closer to retirement, and that has to be good. I look forward to seeing everyone on "Columbus" weekend.
