Judith Ann Goldstein was married to Stanley Bruce Cutliff at The Green Manor in Sharon in September 1970 by Rabbi Kantor. The young Cutliff family lived in Stoughton where Stanley worked at the NDH Hardware Store.

On August 29, 1982 the Cutliff family was involved in a horrific head on car crash in Hingham. Stanley and Judy, both 35, and their 8 year old daughter Jenna were all killed. Their 5 year old daughter Stacy survived. At the time of her death, Judy was 4.5 months pregnant.

The driver of the other car was charged with three counts of manslaughter and multiple vehicular violations, including driving while intoxicated. He was eventually sentenced to 5 - 10 years in prison. He had a long record of driving while intoxicated violations. Counsel for Stacy sued the Town of Hingham whose police department had arrested him only 13 hours before the fatal crash (again for DUI) but did not hold him despite three outstanding warrants because he gave a false name and had no identification.

Stanley, Judy and Jenna are all buried at The Memorial Park in Sharon. Their funerals were on the day before a new and harsher Massachusetts statute punishing drunk drivers became effective.
