Where to start- I first went to Northeastern after
graduation but majored in Boston Garden! Saw a lot of the 65/66 Celtics
but not much of the class room. In November of 66, I joined the
Marine Corps, spending time in FL, SC, Vietnam and Japan. I was an
aircraft electrician on A-4's. In 68 I wed Kathleen from FL.
We had two kids Tracy and Mike. That marriage ended in 82.
In 70 I went back to school at UMASS and graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice. I worked as a police officer in Amherst while going to school and then went to work in Athol in 74 staying there till 82 when I moved on to the Vermont State Police. In 82 I married Jan, and we have one child Jackie. Along the way I picked up a M.S. from AIC in criminal justice. I worked in St. Johnsbury, Dorset and finally Brattleboro when I got promoted to SGT in 87. I retired in 99 with 18 years of service because I got credit for my Vietnam service. Now I stay home and ride my Harley when ever I can. Update of June, 2002: I have gone back to work as a Court Security Officer for the Federal Court in Brattleboro. This is a contract position through the U.S. Marshal's Service. I was enjoying my time off but the Inn the wife worked at burnt down so it was my turn again. |
