Totally crazy how this much time has gone by so quickly ! I’m doing well… still living in Hanover NH in the little house I bought 34 yrs ago.. Haven’t made plans to transition to something else yet. I’m still working .. not as a Cardiac Rehab RN anymore but as a quality associate RN for the cardiology dept.. I work 20 hrs/week , all remotely, doing data abstraction for the Cardiac Catheterization National registry… Diagnostic and interventional cases amounting to ~ 4000 case reviews annually.. keeps me busy, engages my brain, and the extra money is great. Not sure how much longer I’ll continue but it still works well for me as the schedule is up to me except for a couple of meetings a week.
I’ve become an orthopedic mess with limiting arthritis in both knees, an ankle and my back.. I had the best gift ever 2 years ago…. My youngest daughter, Alexa and her husband had a baby girl !!! My first grandchild and as most of all the rest of you know it is magical.. They live in NYC so I don’t see her as often as I’d love but every 4-6 weeks for sure. We have lots of one on one time together so her parents can have date nights ! My older daughter, Micaela is also in NYC, working for Uber as a data analyst. She’s pretty sure her job will be taken over by AI win the near future. So all is going well except that I’m so terribly upset, angry, embarrassed and frustrated by this horrible mess in DC… Never imagined the twilight years of my life would be living with the taking apart of our democracy.. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in Sept ! ==================== Updated 2001 I spent the late 60's and most of the 70's living in the San Francisco bay area with a 2 year trip to Europe, Israel, Morocco, etc. tucked into the early 70's. I moved back to the New Hampshire in '77 to be with a man I'd known for a couple of years. We were married in '78 but divorced in '90. I've been living in Hanover, NH ever since. I have two wonderful daughters; Micaela is nearly 17 now, a very dedicated student, figure skater, and lacrosse player. Alexa is 12 and is a dedicated social butterfly! She was a competitive gymnast and figure skater for several years but now her loves are soccer, lacrosse and jazz dance. They keep me very busy! I've worked full time as an RN cardiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Med Ctr, with most of the past 20 years specializing in cardiac rehab, which I love. I feel very fortunate to have survived a journey with breast cancer last year and am looking forward to staying healthy! It's been great to get back to cycling , running and XC skiing. Hope to see lots of you in April. |
