I was not able to attend College due to family finances. My brother, Steven, class of 1964, was at B. U. and there were financial
limitations. I got a great job at Morse Shoe on route 138 in Canton. Fast forward to the end of summer in 1966. We were living in
Mattapan and our neighbors across the street from us had a visit from their son who was an officer in the Air Force after graduating
from the Air Force Academy. My upstairs neighbor insisted I go with her to say hello to him. Nine dates later he proposed to me.
I said yes and we married 7 months later. Next month we will celebrate our 56th anniversary. He served our country for 20 years,
including 10 months in Vietnam and went on to be a Government contractor. We traveled the world due to his occupations. Our last
assignment was to Nellis Air Base in Las Vegas. We decided to retire here, but we took a job in San Jose, CA for 3 years, 1991 to
1994 followed by a 5 year position in Albuquerque , NM. In December, 1999 we moved back to Las Vegas and have lived in the same
house for 23 years.
What a life!
