Anita Moeder

After SHS, I finished degrees in Computer Science and Business at Boston University. I made my career in high tech, working for MIT, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Polaroid and a few other computer companies. With DEC, I worked overseas, getting back to my French roots, 2 years in Geneva and 6 in the south of France. Have always maintained an international perspective in jobs, dealing with lots of different cultures and have loved the diversity of doing business with colleagues around the world!

After a layoff, I moved myself back from France and felt like I wanted a new career. I went back to college and got a degree in Interior Architecture (being the class grandma was quite an experience!). Moved from the Boston area to Fort Lauderdale to get away from the cold and set up an interior design practice (sadly that was not to be). So, back to high tech.

Married, divorced and remarried along the way, no children of my own, but 3 great kids from Hector, my husband. (He is from Cuba and a PhD in Chemistry). A few years ago, we put Florida in our rear-view mirror and moved to Charleston SC, a dream of mine for many years., and are loving everything about the Lowcountry.

Free time is spent entertaining friends and family (love to show off my beautiful Holy City!); in all things aquatic: swimming, sailing, scuba; interior design for fun and non-profit; and, a new passion, watercolor painting.
