We moved to Sarasota, Florida last September. Actually we live near Arlene and Danny Kates.. so it is a small world. All is well here.. I have retired from nursing, my husband still works and we are the proud grandparents of 2 little girls..

2001 biography:

I am Elaine Simon Matisoff, now living in good old Cary, North Carolina.

I have been married for 30+ years to the same great guy. He works for IBM and have we been moved..just slowly down the East coast, but enough times to make us lose our roots.

We have two kids. A son going on 30 that we call Peter Pan, since he won't grow up. He is a perpetual student and is still finding himself but promises to make a life decision this millennium. We also have a 27-year-old daughter who has just returned from the Peace Corp in Lithuania. We actually took our son and went over there to visit her....It was like Sharon at the turn of the century, the 19th century. She now lives in DC and works for a non profit, Points of Light.

I went back to school after both kids got there undergrad degree and am now a mother baby nurse at a local hospital. It is almost as good a being a grand except I get a new baby every night, that is correct, I chose to work nights!! It put a little more mystery in the marriage as we sometimes go days without seeing each other and get to call or leave notes!.

My folks live in Delray Beach,Fla. as do a lot of our parents. They belong to the Sharon club and keep me informed of all the gossip they hear.

I occasionally see Phil Heller as he moved to Raleigh, NC a few years ago with his wife and 2 boys.

I have been searching the attic for my yearbook. I know it made the many moves, but after the first move I stopped unpacking everything and now have 20 year old packages...
